One Time Opportunities
H2Oklahoma Annual State Water FestivalProject Date: Sept. 21st - Stillwater
Project Description: Christina Stallings-Roberson, Dept. of Forestry and OMN member, has requested assistance at her tent/display on forestry and trees as part of this festival. Rounds of 5th graders stop at the display booth throughout the day to learn about forestry. The H2Oklahoma Water Festival began in 1995 as an attempt to involve Oklahoma Legislators in environmental education activities. Following a concept developed by the state of Nebraska, the subcommittee put together a water festival for 5th graders with an academic bowl and hands-on exhibit components. Christina says it's an all day event, and could use help morning and afternoon to fit your schedule. Reimbursement for mileage available.
